Bites
and String
These
are very common damages, which are caused
by insects, animal or plants. Sometimes
while playing outside or riding a bicycle
it may happen that an insect, animal or
plant stings you. It may cause you to
feel a sharp pain by pricking your skin,
usually with poison. There is no need
to worry about; a simple treatment may
help you out.
What you should do
In case of Minor
Bites:

Wash it carefully with soap and water.

Wound:

Clean the bite to rid it of infection.

Whether the bite is large or small, a
doctor should be contacted if swelling,
increasing redness, or drainage occurs,
or if there are flu like symptoms, fever,
or swollen glands.
Bee stings
Problems like Bee stings occur very commonly
in kids. Bee sting is very painful, but
a proper and on time treatment may heal
the pain to some extent. If a bee stings

you can do
- Remove
the stinger by scraping with your fingernail
or the blade of a knife. Do not try to
remove it with tweezers as squeezing releases
more of the poison into your body.
- Wash
the area thoroughly with soap and water
- Apply
ice, calamine lotion, or baking soda-and-water
mixture to relieve the swelling and pain.
Remember that the swelling should be gone
within 24 hours.
- A
stinger that is not removed continues
to release poison into the body for as
long as 20 minutes.
