     Keyboard

Keyboard is the primary input device. By using Keyboard the user can interact with the operating system and the other application software of the computer. Basically Key board is divided into two main Categories.
· QWERT.
· DVORAK.
QWERT is the normal standard keyboard. Which is similar to the Typewriter keypad. However the DVORAK keyboard is little change in the order of its keys. Under the DVORAK keyboard the most common keys are paced nearer to each other. But both the keyboard types are basically divided into four parts according to its keys.
· Numeric Keys.
· Alpha Numeric Keys.
· Function Keys.
· Screen Navigation Keys.
Numeric keys:-
Numeric keys are used to enter the numeric data into the computer. These keys are normally use for mathematical operations.

Alpha Numeric Keys:-
Alpha Numeric keys include upon Alphabets as well as the special Symbols. Alphabets ranging from A-Z and special symbols include upon @, #, $, %, &, *, and etc.
Function Keys:-
Function keys are used to perform the specific function. And function keys started from F1 to F12. Function keys are changed according to the environment of the application. But some keys are having uniqueness and their work is same in different applications. E.g. (F1) key. Whenever the user presses F1 it gives him a complete help about that topic.
Screen Navigation Keys:-
Screen navigation keys are used to navigate with the screen. Following are the main screen navigation keys. Which are used for different purposes.
· Home
· End
· Insert
· Delete
· Page Up
· Page Down
· Control (Ctrl)
· Alternate (Alt)
· Escape (Esc)

The most common key board are:-
101-key Enhanced keyboard
· 104-key Windows keyboard
· 82-key Apple standard keyboard
· 108-key Apple Extended keyboard
