Junoon

The word "Junoon" which translates to "excitement" and "fascination" was borne in Salman Ahmad's mind. Junoon Western beats mixed with Eastern techniques merged together form Junoon. Their first self-titled album was an immediate hit. Their next album Talaash was released a year following their previous list, though there was only one immediate hit, Heeray. The song propelled Junoon on to the world stage with their first ever music video, which was repeatedly broadcasted on different TV channels. The follow up to Talaash was Inquilaab, an enormous local achievement. It placed Junoon far above any singer(s) in Pakistan. Their music changed from being based on drum beats to the traditional tabla, and from rock-style guitar musical tones to more traditional melodies.
